A secure democratic Net is a fundamental right

It is an old story being warmed up all over again from time to time. It is the rat race between the developers/security people and the crackers/attackers. As computers and networkconnections get faster and cheaper the crackers have from time to time the possbility to up the level and to declare the level of security that we have accepted untill than as 'conquered'. At that time we have to move on to the next level of security or encryption and use it untill this bastion also will fall.

Is WEP broken ? Yes if you want to break it, you can. Is WPA broken ? if you have the time and the resources there is a possiblity but it is still very difficult. Nothing says that 64bits quad computers with 8 or more gig of ram and a graphical card that makes films look like 3D environments will just make it as easy as with WEP. Untill than you can prepare the post-WPA or just think if a wireless connection is really necessary for the business and personal information that you have to transfer.
