A secure democratic Net is a fundamental right

The last government had an idea to put an internetfilter on all connections and there has been a working group to prepare it but it never concretized.

The Australians are warned because the concept has left the working groupstage and is being actively tested. If you want to stop it, you should do it now because this is the kind of stuff that you can't get back into the box.

The problems with this kind of filtering are the secrecy and the mission creep. If you filter you have to declare and explain it to your users. If it is in your enterprise, network, ISP or country. There are also technological problems. It is already very hard to organize the filtering on the scale of a small network, so how should you do such a large filtering on a whole internetted country ?
