Georgia Cyberwar the opinion of some cyber-intelligence people

Open intelligence is a buzzword these days. Remembering so many cases in which major coups and attacks (including 9/11) weren't averted because the snippets of information around were not assembled into a puzzle, some people starte with wikis and networks of intelligence people (other word for spies, researchers and analysts). They call it open intelligence although sometimes the most important knowledge is never put on paper.

One of these projects published a paper about the Georgia cyberwar. But with the new attention on the DDOS Syn attacks (of which nobody has a real idea what the impact could be) the old methods used in that campaign may be peanuts if those attack methods seem usable in practice.

It is for that reason that we publish those hacked and other listings here (and there are others that we will never publish here :) )
