Europeans will pay more for US software
The Euro is slowly but steadingly going down (the drain ?) and has lost already about a third against the dollar. This has an enormous lot of consequences. The first is that the renewal of licences and products themselves are becoming more expensive.
You can say that you should buy European products but as there are no European laws on datasecurity to speak off, compared to the US, there are no European products that do the things that American ITsecurity do in a standard way because otherwise they couldn't sell their products in the US. So if you are forward looking in security you should buy American products or products that are certified to be sold to the US government and health organisations.
Because one day - better sooner than later - those datasecurity laws will also be coming our way and those that have invested in American products will find it far easier and cheaper to implement those new reglementations.
Or maybe the American products should sell European versions that are somewhat cheaper but by which the typical American addons aren't activated (yet).
