No listing of Belgian attackers today - Belgacom is cleaning up

Yesterday it seems that Belgacom/Skynet security services have been activated to start to clean up the mess that is being created by infected clients and servers on parts of their enormous network. Maybe it was not relevant in their global numbers or on their listing of security incidents, but it was becoming a nuisance on the reputation level if your networks (or parts of them) are publicised day after day as being partially infected and dangerous.

It is the only power we have around here. THe power of publication. So if other firms have more detailed or other information and feel helpless because nobody seems to care about the alerts that they are sending out, we are always a last resort if nothing seems to help or work around this small country.

So out of respect for the people at Belgacom Security teams that are probably trying to clean up the attacks and scans yesterday and probably today we will be waiting a bit to see if they have cleaned up these rogue parts of their network that they didn't control anymore.

Hopefully we can felicitate them in a few days. THe graphic from Arbor after 17h is what we like to see. Keep up the good work and keep the bad guys out.
