Since mid november we the Belgian internet has been more attacked and has been more attacking others (as parts of it were infected or abused). The 23th till 25th that gave an enormous increase in the number of attacks coming from Belgium. We have alerted Skynet and they took some drastic action that had some effect, but this should be a permanent operation because from the moment you lower your guard the trend is up again in the number of Belgian attacking souces.

It is necessary to have a take-down protocol between the ISP's and a national authority just as they have in other countries around us. The quicker you can act, the more dramatic the impact can be. Imagine if the server superfit.be had been taken down from the moment he arrived some days ago in the listing of attackers. It would surely had an impact.

This is off course only one network of monitoring and honeypots installations. If you have such information we could be very interested. We will publish what others don't. It is time to publish clear warnings and to put names and IP's next to the attackers and those that neglect their own security which threatens  the security of us all. We don't let lorries drive the highways without brakes or drive toxic material without any controls ? So why are servers on the internet highway different ?
