Free books and documents : My scribd.com collection and guide

You can get free books and documents from scribd.com this way

http://www.scribd.com/llavens

You have to subscribe for free with scribd.com to be able to download books

when you have done so you can follow me and than you will be informed about all the books I am uploading or reading (scribd doesn't make it possible now to seperate the two nor to differentiate the books or people you follow according to language or subject of the publication)

You can also follow me with facebook and the facebook integration although I don't know how that works I very seldom go on facebook (i like my real privacy)

You can also follow the books I am reading through twitter by following

https://twitter.com/#!/scribdbooks

this way you can see freely downloadable books and documents in realtime

My bookshelf with a few hundred documents is here

http://www.scribd.com/llavens/shelf

the books in the shelf are organised in two groups

* those that were uploaded by me (and aren't organized in groups)

http://www.scribd.com/llavens/documents

just don't be surprised if sometimes you will find tens or hundreds of tweets popping up as I collect first and than re-organise and download afterwards (scribd doesn't give you the possibility to download just by including a link you have a few operations to do)

* the books on scribd.com that I 've seen or read are organized in groups according to broad subjects

as you can only put 1000 links in a group some groups have already a second or third version

scribd or its users delete books and document quite often without retiring the link in the collections of its other users, this means you can often find links that don't give you that book you hoped for, the older the link the more chance that the document or book has been deleted. The only realtime easyt alert is the twitterfeed.

so have fun (and find the time to make your own digital library)
