Microsoft has a partnership with Feeding America on which they will donate 8 meals for every download of IE 8 HERE.

Why not ?

And if you use a proxy, you can download it over and over again and feed hundreds of Hungry americans if you want. ANd if you virtualise your machine you can re-install it over and over again.

Every time there are 8 hungry people that get a meal in the US. Why not in any other country, although helping hungry Americans is also something worthy.

Free for today : OVERSPY keylogger and spyware total version

You have a lot of this stuff on the market, but most are crippled somewhere or you don't trust it enough because you really don't really know 100% what the guy is up to.

It is illegal in most countries to use this software on computers of others EXCEPT if you have clearly stated it and that the person knows it (also the consequences of the software). The problem here is that you LOG whatever you want but you have to safeguard the ACCESS to these logs in a totally different strict legal way. The logs are there ONLY if there is a legally acceptable procedure that needs urgent ACCESS to these logs. It is not because you LOG everything that anyone can have ACCESS to these logs. The fewer people have access, the more you can log.

In any case read the comments. It is not working on every VISTA and you need to disable your securitysoftware - which is not recommended.

I think however that some machines in some environments need such a software, but even this software can be circumvented somehow.

NetSearch is a effective tool for searching files in local area network. The main feature is fast searching. The program is more fast than Windows standard search. Search executes on every computer where the program is installed. Just in a few seconds you can find the file you need in all computers on the LAN.

comment : this is a must for securitypeople because this way you can also search quickly on your network if people are sharing files or if folders are open because they are fill with infected virus files (or worse because they have been hacked). It is also a way to check if default or no passwords are used on shared files in your network. You will be amazed how many shares are by accident open. Only free for today, so grab it. If you want to use it share things wit collagues be sure that you follow the internal guidelines, a good supervisor will have a good eye on what is happening on his network.

with the new windows worm going its rounds you can check with the credentials it uses and you can also see that every folder has at least a password on its share. Shares without passwords are so 2002 worms.
